Let me start by saying that I was beyond thrilled when Courtney contacted me about doing a session with her family! I have known Courtney since middle school in Houston! And she comes from a family of photographers, so this was a very special request in my humble opinion!
A little about Courtney and Bart Emken. If you live here in Austin, or the Austin area, you may have heard of Dog Boy's Dog Ranch in Pflugerville. Well, these guys are the owners of that fine establishment and if you own a sweet and wonderful dog and do not know about them, you should! I have linked their website here and you should absolutely check them out! They have a wonderful kennel and training facility and all kinds of amazing stuff and have been taking care of lucky dogs here for 15 years! So, what I'm say is check them out!
We did this session over at the old Mueller Airport site (thanks, Sylivia, for the suggestion!) You can see one of the old hangar's in the background. The new Dell Children's Hospital is right next door. We spent our session around this one area, but there are a number of really cool places to shoot out there!

For my photography friends. These were shot with mostly with a 50mm f/1.4 and a 17-35mm f/2.8. I post-processed with Totally Rad Actions (TRA2-The Revenge), Kubota actions (Artistic Tools Vol 1 and Vol 3) and ittybitty actions (52 Action Set).
