I shot Lisa and Roger's wedding back on May 17th. You can see the blog post about their amazing wedding by clicking here.
They left from their wedding for an extended honeymoon and then had this amazing reception about three weeks later. It was at House on the Hill here in Austin, which is out in the Westlake area.
It was a beautiful afternoon and evening. There was amazing food then everyone went outside to see Lisa and Roger renew their vows. Roger's dad had the honor of presiding over this event. There was a cool gentleman who played the bagpipes through the attendees. Lisa and Roger followed him and everyone got in a line behind them. He led them up to the fountain where they renewed their vows. It was really incredible.
After this, there was lots of music and dancing and drinking well into the evening.
I feel so honored to have been a part of both of these events! Thanks Lisa and Roger!

Lisa and Roger's wedding was a really emotional event for all involved. It was amazing to be a part of such a special event. I am so sincerely happy that I got to meet them and their families and friends. Their wedding was a little different than the usual type of event. They had their beautiful wedding and then followed it with a simple champagne reception. The couple left in a Rolls-Royce amid a flurry of bubbles and headed to Europe for an extended honeymoon. When they returned, they had larger reception and party on a Sunday afternoon. I had the privilege of photographing that as well, and will do another post with photos from that event. Below are some of my favorites. If you would like to see a Gallery of some of the photos, please click here. Remember, the Gallery is only a small portion of selected photos.
Here's a favorite of the beautiful bride. A detail of the dress.
We did portraits before the ceremony, so here's a great shot of Roger as he sees his bride for the first time.
Just love this shot. Roger and Lisa at the alter.
A shot of the ceremony from the back of the church. The natural light was really beautiful coming down from the ceiling. Remember to look through the Gallery for more photos.
There are far too many photos from this wonderful wedding to just post three of them! So here are a few of my favorites. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed taking photos of these two! Katie and Andy were amazing and it was outrageously hot and humid. There was even a while after the ceremony that we were pretty sure a nasty thunderstorm was going to pour down on our heads. But, as all thunderstorms should, it went around us!
The wedding was at Andy's parent's home in Buda and the backyard was just perfect!

I also had the pleasure of having Katie Wilkinson second shoot this wedding with me. She did a fantastic job! She just got out of college and I was thrilled to have her along. She is planning to start her own business outside of Austin and I will put the link up to her site when it's ready! I am, in fact, shooting Katie's wedding in October and am super excited about it!
So, here are a few of my favorites that she took. To see more of Katie Wilkinson's photos, click HERE.
I was hired to shoot photographs in the bluebonnets of a property development company here in Austin called Taylor Morrison. They do this Bluebonnet Bash every year in my neighborhood to attract potential buyers to come out and look at the neighborhood and homes for sale.
I was excited to have this opportunity and spent four hours on a Saturday and four hours on a Sunday taking pictures of all kinds of people in the bluebonnets and wildflowers. As I mentioned in another post, the bluebonnets this year weren't great, so I had to really scout around for a good location to take photos.
I took well over 300 pictures, so these are only a few of my favorites.

I think this woman is super cool and beautiful. She's smart, independent, a small business owner, a mom, a sister, a friend and a bride! I shot some photos for her at her wedding shower a couple of weeks ago. I really enjoyed getting to be a part of this event since I am shooting the wedding tonight down on the lake and am super excited about it! It also gave me an opportunity to meet her mom and two sisters, who will also be a part of the wedding. If you'd like to see more photos from this event, click here.
I once again had the pleasure of taking photos of my favorite five year old. She had a diva/princess party in Lakeway at My Party Palace and it was a blast to shoot. I love all the little girls with all their bling, glitter and feathers! To see more photos from this session, click here .
Princess Tea Party. What more is there to say? This gorgeous little girl had her seventh birthday at The Party Palace and it was super fabulous! These girls are all just so darn cool. They will all grow up to be simply amazing women. . .I just know it! To see more photos from this party, click here.
