This is going to be a long post as it's truly my first full-blow Senior Session for this year. The point is really to show how much variety is involved in a Senior Session. There is lots of moving around from location to location and lots of outfit changes. They are, I think, my favorite type of session!

All my sessions start early (7:30 a.m.) on either Saturday or Sunday morning to get the great morning light and to get the session done before we get harsh mid-day sun. This gorgeous young woman was an absolute dream to shoot! Beautiful, kind and smart! What a combination!
This session started on South Congress in front of the Hotel San Jose.
We then moved further south down South Congress. We started in front of Big Top Candy Shop and then walked around down in that general area for the following shots.
The next set was done at the John Bremond, Jr. Home in downtown Austin. It is where the Texas Classroom Teachers Association has their offices. Gorgeous piece of property and I was thrilled to shoot there.
Also, this senior is a big reader and golfer so she brought her club and some books that have a special meaning to her.
We then moved on to Mayfield Park for a while. It was getting hotter and brighter by this time, so it was great to be in a nice shaded area.
We ended the day at the barn where she used to ride horses when she was younger. Overall, it was an exceptionally nice day for early September!
I just love the one of her on the steps with the book in her lap and the ones in front of Big Top (love the juxtaposition of "Senior" with the nod to her childhood with "candy". All of these are lovely. And all so different. And the thoughtfulness behind the location selection and composition is really intelligent. Beautiful subject + great locations + talented photographer = amazing photographs! Martha Moring Photography is smart, sassy and flat out fantastic!
