Ashley+Matt

I feel so honored that I got to be a part of this very intimate and special moment. Ashley contacted me a short while ago to see if I could shoot her wedding. She and Matt were getting married on a Wednesday evening just before sunset at the Lakeway Inn on a balcony overlooking Lake Travis. I would be one of 4 people there-the bride, the groom, their pastor and me!

It was a sweet ceremony filled and the couple were so obviously madly in love. I love this job! It is amazingly wonderful!

I never ever come home and immediately proof photos. I generally give myself a short cooling off period, but I could not wait to work on these! These were a some of my favorites.

These were all shot with my Nikkor 50mm f/1.4. Most were shot in aperture priority mode and many were at about f/3.5. I used mostly Totally Rad actions and a few from ittybitty actions.

{Mia+Glenn} Austin Wedding The Plantation House

I shot Mia & Glenn's wedding at The Plantation House in Pflugerville. It was a gorgeous April day and the weather was perfect! Mia contacted me through my very first bride! I just love that!!

Mia & Glenn were totally adorable and so in love and their families were such a pleasure to meet. Everyone was in such great spirits and Mia looked absolutely gorgeous!

My second shooter was once again the wonderful Katie Wilkinson and as always she did a great job.

To see more photos from the wedding you can check out Mia & Glenn's Gallery here.

Thirteen

Thirteen year old girls are full of more energy than you can imagine! At least they're more full of energy than I have steam! I shot this great birthday party for a gorgeous thirteen year old girl and I was exhausted by the time I was through. Whew! Even so, I had an absolutely wonderful time taking their pictures and running around after them! The strawberry cake at the end wasn't too bad either!

So here are some of my favorites from the party. If you want to see more, please click here to look through the gallery.

By the way, I bought an amazing set of actions from MCP Actions that makes these awesome collages for your blog! I think they add a little interest and are really simple to use. She also makes other amazing post-processing actions, so check the site out!

Wildflowers in bloom

It's time for the bonnets and paintbrushes again here in central Texas. I am surprised and excited to see such a nice crop of bluebonnets this year since we are in the midst of a long drought. I guess they got enough rain at the right time because we've got some great patches around here!

The Indian paintbrushes are exceptionally vibrant this year. Those are the oranges ones that look like bluebonnets, but aren't. ;-) And although this is one of my regular clients, this is the first time we've shot in the wildflowers.

As always it was fun to hang out with them. Mom is one of my absolute fav-oh-rite people. Love her!

Below are some of my faves. If you would like to see more photos from this session, click here.

San Gabriel River

This was my first time to visit this park in Georgetown. I will definitely go back there again.

I had an opportunity to do a session with a very sweet family and I had a really good time getting to know this very fun and energetic little girl. Such a cutie!
